Meet Little Brother Jason, our October 2022 Little of the Month!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County is the Charity of the Quarter for Blue Marsh Insurance! For every referral Blue Marsh receives through December 2022, Blue Marsh will donate $10 to BBBS of Berks. There is no limit to the amount of people you can refer and the amount they will donate to the agency — plus if you are a Blue Marsh client, you receive fabulous prizes.

On this last day of September, we close out BBBS Month by thanking all of our volunteers and donors for believing in and supporting our quality-driven mentoring programs.

The United Way of Berks County kicked off its 2022 Campaign this morning at FirstEnergy Stadium — and some familiar faces were up on the podium.

Schools are back in session. With the start of the new school year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County tries to put supplies into the hands of the kids that need them…specifically, to our Littles. The Back To School event is a highlight of our calendar each year, as we distribute school supplies to our Littles. Thanks to our partners in the community like Mail Shark and the United Way of Berks County, our Littles were here to pick up some notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, and so much more.

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County, PA, we know first-hand that mentorship helps serve as a conduit between people and possibilities. September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month and we are launching our “More Than” campaign, because we know that mentorship moments are not surface-level experiences…they are much MORE THAN that.

Our One-To-One matches do all kinds of things in the community. Take, Little Brother Michael and Big Brother Steven, who recently visited the Reading Public Museum for its Real Bodies exhibit.

Introducing…Little Brother Jeremiah, an 11-year-old from Reading who wants to be a chef when he grows up!

They share a passion for walking and biking. Little Brother Brandon is into science and Big Brother Jack is really into nature, so they hope to do some science experiments out in nature.

Yes, the coveted BBBS of Berks Jason Claudfelter Golf Invitational Cup has been secured and is up for grabs at our 20th Annual event on Friday at Willow Hollow Golf Course.
