Herbein 50 for 50 Check Presentation

Herbein + Company Managing Partner Dave Stonesifer (second from the left) this morning presented Executive Director Jim Smith (second from the right) with a $1,000 check.  Joined by Executive Assistant Kelly Lewis (left) and Herbein partner (and BBBS of Berks Board member) Liz Hassler, they presented the check as part of Herbein's 50 for 50 Program. The Herbein 50 for 50 Program was in celebration of the accounting firm's 50th anniversary.  Initially, the intention was to select five (5) grant winners to share $50,000 -- but the response was so overwhelming (more than 90 applications) that Herbein decided to provide funding to ten (10) agencies with grants totally more than $76,000.  Big Brothers Big Sisters is honored to be among the list of grant awardees.  The funding will be used to complete some building maintenance projects at our main administrative building at 303 Windsor St. in Reading.Thank you to all of our friends at Herbein + Company, and congratulations on 50 years in business!
