BBBS of Berks partners with CommunityAid

Before you know it, it’ll be time to do some Spring cleaning. You’ve got some gently-used clothes you no longer wear; maybe you’ve got a closet full of unused purses or shoes; toys your kids no longer use might be piling up. Electronics or other household items are just taking up space. Well, now you have a place to take those items AND help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County.

Today, we announce our new partnership with CommunityAid. CommunityAid encapsulates neighbors helping neighbors by accepting donations to create quality jobs, offer an affordable shopping experience, and support nonprofit partners serving the local community. CommunityAid operates seven thrift stores in Pennsylvania including — as of September 2023 — one at 5370 Allentown Pike in Temple (next to the Walmart). One benefit of our new partnership is that CommunityAid will pay a per-pound rate to Big Brothers Big Sisters for items donated in our name. Simply tell them it’s on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County or give them our Partnership #50192 when you drop off the donated items.
