The United Way of Berks County kicked off its annual campaign this morning with an in-person celebration at First Energy Stadium, home of the Reading Fightins’. Of course, the kick-off included announcement of this year’s goal: $10.5-million! And they have already raised $1,758,714 toward that goal.
Dick and Angela Ehst are this year’s co-chairs for the campaign. To view the campaign video, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdMvfj-9c7U
Funds raised during the United Way campaign help finance 80 programs at thirty-three (33) partner agencies including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County. More than 150,000 people annually are served in Berks County through United Way funding.
The United Way provides Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County with about 50% of its revenues each year. We thank the United Way for standing with us to DEFEND POTENTIAL in our Littles, and encourage everyone to LIVE UNITED by donating to the United Way campaign.
