United Way Campaign Kickoff

It might have been a downcast morning weather-wise, but excitement was in the air as the United Way of Berks County kicked off this year’s campaign…and we again saw some familiar faces at the podium. BBBS Board members Sidney Purnell (our Vice President of the Board) and Cassandra Weidner were there — speaking though in their roles as Chair of the ELU (Emerging Leaders United) and Vice-Chair, respectively.

The 2023 Campaign Co-Chairs John & Karen Arnold had some good news, too. They announced that the United Way had already collected nearly $1.8-million, which is about 16% of its 2023 goal of $11-million.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County is a United Way Partner Agency. We encourage all to give to the United Way. “It starts with U!”
