Meet Little Brother Kamari, our June 2021 Little of the Month! Kamari is a 13-year-old from Wernersville, who wants to be a technological or mechanical engineer when he grows up. He would benefit greatly from having a positive, out-going role model in his life to stand with him to defend his potential. LB Kamari enjoys playing soccer, video games and signing.
LB Kamari is looking for someone to spend one-on-one time with him. He wants someone who will encourage his interests and inspire his potential; someone they can trust & rely on; someone who will listen when he wants to talk. Are you that someone? TOGETHER, WE ARE DEFENDERS OF POTENTIAL! Are you willing to stand with us to defend the potential of Kamari or any of our waiting Littles?
Since 1968, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County, PA has provided quality-driven mentoring programs to Berks County youth facing adversity. We DO NOT create potential, because every child has it. Rather, our staff and volunteers are there to ignite their potential and empower our Littles to reach that potential.
For at little as 12 hours per year (as a Big in our group-mentoring COUL program) up to an average of 8-10 hours per month (as a One-To-One Big), YOU can make a difference in a child’s life! To be a Big Brother or Big Sister with our agency, you must be at least 19-years-old and reside in Berks County. You must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving history, and auto insurance that meets current state liability standards. Our Bigs must also be gainfully employed, economically self-sufficient, or a full-time college student; and volunteer candidates must be willing to complete our application process in its entirety.
For more information on becoming a Big, call the agency at (610) 373-5544 or visit our website at www.BigsInBerks.org
