40th Annual BFKS Update

The bowling may be over, but there’s still more on the horizon for the 40th Annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake — sponsored by Tompkins Community Bank!

Bowling Day #2 was on Sunday, April 24th, at Berks Lanes with more than 30 teams participating.  We thank all of our BFKS teams including: the Retired Rollers, the Holy Rollers with Gutter Fingers, RE/MAX of Reading, the Sassy Strikers from Brentwood Industries, Kutztown University America Reads America Counts, Orrstown Bank, Quaker Maid Meats, Customers Bank, the Herbein Strike Club, UGI, Bowling For Kids’ Sake (AFLAC), Wells Fargo, and The Retros.  We also had six (6) Littles Teams bowling throughout the event thanks to our many Littles Team Sponsors.  We also want to express our appreciation to the staff at Berks Lanes for their support on Sunday, and Subway for helping to keep our bowlers well-fed.

Some lucky winners walked away with great prizes from our Basket Auction, but who won those great prizes from the BIG Raffle (the ‘Barrow of Spirits, the weekend escape to Vermont, and the Eagles memorabilia)?  And who is this year’s Grand Prize winner ($500 worth of Boscov’s gift cards)?  These questions and more will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
