Tompkins VIST Bank yesterday announced that it is donating $500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County, and the Wyomissing branch is collecting items for the organization through December 31st. Susan Belfer (pictured right) — the bank’s Wyomissing branch manager — says items needed most are office supplies like legal pads, notebooks, post-it notes, glue sticks, and other such items — but the branch is also accepting Visa, Walmart, AC Moore, and other kinds of gift cards for the agency.
Belfer is a strong advocate for Big Brothers Big Sisters, being a long-standing member of the Board of Directors and chairperson for our largest internal fundraiser of the year (Bowl For Kids’ Sake). Belfer said, “It’s a pleasure to support Big Brothers Big Sisters because it does so much for kids in our community.”
