Based on current state and federal guidance, the BBBS of Berks office will remain closed through at least May 8th. All in-person activities (including activities, interviews, and trainings) are cancelled, while the office remains closed.
While the office is closed though, the BBBS staff remains hard at work to help our Bigs empower potential in our youth. Staff for the most part is be working from home, and are thus on-call if you need us during this time. Bigs, Littles, and families are encouraged to contact us if you need us — initially, by email. If you don’t know your Casework Manager or staff person’s email, see our Staff/Board page or email Executive Director Jim Smith at JimS@BigsInBerks.org. You may also leave a voicemail message by calling (610) 373-5544. Messages are checked at least once a day.
The BBBS staff continues to conduct activities, interviews, and trainings on a virtual (on-line) basis. Our matches — both Community-based and School-based — are being encouraged to continue to “meet” by utilizing virtual resources and phone contact. Anyone — not just matches — can check out our website and social media sites (including Facebook) for some great activity ideas.
