January is National Mentoring Month

It’s National Mentoring Month…a time to thank our many Berks County Bigs and a time to encourage people to join us in defending potential in our Littles!

Mentors make a BIG impact on our lives!  No one would be where they are without great mentors along the way, and our Littles are no different.  You can volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters for as little as about 12 hours a year (as a COUL Big) to up to 8-10 hours per month (as a One-To-One Big).  For more information, contact us at (610) 373-5544 or check out our Become a Big page.

Don’t forget to come out on January 20th to help us celebrate our mentors, our programs, and the kick-off of the 2023 Bowl For Kids’ Sake event.  It’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Night at the Reading Royals!  What’s more exciting than a Reading Royals game?  Answer:  Enjoying a Reading Royals game AND helping Big Brothers Big Sisters!  Purchase your tickets at https://fevo.me/bbbs-royals23 ($5 from every ticket sold benefits BBBS of Berks).

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County is sponsoring the game, so be sure to stop by our information table at the concourse to learn more about our quality-driven mentoring programs. We’ll also be there to throw out the first puck.  If you can’t make it to the game, listen to the Reading Royals broadcast to learn more about BBBS of Berks County.

BBBS Night at the Reading Royals also serves as our unofficial kick off to the 2023 Bowl For Kids’ Sake event, sponsored by Tompkins.  The 41st Annual BFKS will be held April 25th at Hiester Lanes and April 29-30th at Berks Lanes.  We’ll have information at our table in the concourse on how you can get involved in BFKS to help defend potential in our Littles.
