EITC Contribution – Thank you, Orrstown Bank

Former Board member and current Building Committee member Jason Hornberger of Orrstown Bank stopped by the agency today in a BIG way.  In this case, it’s a BIG check!

Orrstown Bank is this year’s latest company to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County through the PA Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.  This is the third consecutive year that Orrstown Bank has made a $5,000 EITC contribution to the agency.  Jason is pictured here, presenting the BIG check to Administrative Assistant/Special Events Tracy Donoff.

Through the EITC program, approved companies can contribute a portion of their state taxes to EITC approved agencies.  BBBS of Berks has been an EITC-eligible agency since 2006. EITC contributions to the agency help fund our school-based SMART (Students & Mentors Achieving Results Together) programs at Conrad Weiser, Oley Valley, and Hamburg Area School Districts.
