Jason Hornberger (left) of Orrstown Bank visited the BBBS office this morning to deliver a $5,000 check as part of PA’s EITC (Education Improvement Tax Credit) program. Our great appreciation to Orrstown Bank for supporting our SMART (Students & Mentors Achieving Results Together) program activities at Conrad Weiser, Oley Valley, and Hamburg School Districts.
The EITC program is a way for approved companies to support agencies like Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County. EITC-approved companies can donate a portion of some of the state taxes to EITC-eligible agencies. BBBS of Berks has been an EITC-eligible agency since 2006.
