It’s a concept we’ve had since purchasing our property in May 2001; an idea that began to take shape in 2015 thanks to a Leadership Berks project; a cause that the Berks County community rallied behind in 2017 during our mini-Capital Campaign; and a reality that will be seen on October 16th.
Stop by anytime between 1 pm and 8 pm on October 16th or come to the ribbon cutting at 4:30 pm, as we show off the new Carriage House Activities Center. The new facility will provide our Little Brothers and Little Sisters a safe, comfortable, inviting area to socialize and participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs. We will also have a more modern facility to conduct our trainings for clients, parents/guardians, and volunteers.
Besides the Carriage House, we’ll also show off some improvements to our main building. Local Lowe’s stores are teaming up to modernize our kitchen area (facilitating cooking activities for our Littles) and more.
It’s an exciting way to continue celebrating 50 years of service to Berks County youth! Please RSVP by calling the agency at (610) 373-5544 or email us at Email@BigsInBerks.org.
