Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County officially kicked off the 2017 Carriage House Capital Campaign on Wednesday, June 7th. The agency wants to raise $250,000 to renovate the Carriage House to establish an activities center — providing a safe, nurturing environment for our Little Brothers & Little Sisters to learn and grow; a comfortable, inviting area to socialize and participate in BBBS programs.
This is the first ever capital campaign in the agency’s nearly 50 years in Berks County. Campaign Committee Chair Jason Hornberger noted that the effort has already raised nearly $150,000 toward the goal. The agency hopes to break ground on the renovations in early 2018. The project is expected to take 3-4 months to complete.
