Bowl For Kids’ Sake 2019

Stand with Big Brothers Big Sisters…or should we say, BOWL WITH Big Brothers Big Sisters…to DEFEND POTENTIAL in Berks County youth!  The 37th annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake preparations are underway.  BFKS will be held April 16th at Hiester Lanes and May 4th-5th at Berks Lanes.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake is our biggest internal fundraiser of the year, and this year BBBS of Berks is looking to raise $76,000 to help fund our four quality-driven mentoring programs serving Berks County youth facing adversity.  Last year, we provided over 17,000 mentoring program service hours to 265 kids…about 20% more youth than we served the previous year!  This year, we want to serve even more kids but we need YOU to help empower their potential!

There’s a variety of ways you can help:

  • Companies can join Prime Sponsor Tompkins VIST Bank as a Corporate Sponsor.  There are several Corporate Sponsor levels.  Call Executive Director Jim Smith at (610) 373-5544 for more information or you can go to https://give.classy.org/Support_BerksBFKS2019
  • Individuals and companies can sponsor a team of Littles & Bigs to bowl during our Community Bowling Days.  You can be a Littles Team Sponsor for only $300 or a co-sponsor for $150.
  • Form your BFKS now!  BFKS Team Packets are available for bowlers to accept donations by cash or check; you can register your team on-line at https://give.classy.org/BerksBFKS2019 using email and social media to seek donations and allowing your donors to pay by credit card; or do a combination…call BBBS of Berks to get your BFKS Team Packet AND register on-line, so you can accept cash & checks and credit card donations toward your team.  We ask that each BFKS team raise a minimum of $300.
  • Other ways to help include:  providing door prizes or Auction prizes to enhance our bowlers’ experience; providing coupons for our Bowler Thank You envelopes; or selling Spare A Bucks for $1 at your place of business.  Call Administrative Assistant/Special Events Tracy Donoff or email her at Email@BigsInBerks.org for more on how you can help.

No matter how you help, remember…it’s not about bowling!  It’s about HAVING FUN to HELP KIDS!  It’s about recognizing that every kid has potential, so it’s not for us to create…but rather up to us to ignite and empower it!
