Thank you, BB&T, our latest contributor through the PA Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. BB&T Vice-President Kevin Beiber (left) and Susan Belfer (BB&T Asst. V-P/Quality Assurance Officer, Big Brothers Big Sisters Board member, and Chair of our Bowl For Kids’ Sake Committee) presented a $2,500 check this morning to Executive Director Jim Smith (right).
The EITC program allows approved businesses to denote a portion of their state taxes to EITC-eligible nonprofits like Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County. EITC funds received by our agency help fund our school-based SMART (Students & Mentors Achieving Results Together) program.
