2017 Esurance Rising Star

Wondering what a rising star looks like? Well, if you are…you need look no further than Big Sister Natasha! Screwball from the Reading Fightin’ Phils came out to Conrad Weiser Middle School this afternoon to help us surprise BS Natasha with the news…that she is the 2017 Esurance Rising Star!

Pictured here with Screwball and her Little Sister Talyor, BS Natasha will receive a $5,000 stipend to help with her “call up” to college courtesy of Esurance, Minor League Baseball, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. The official presentation will occur at a Reading Fightin’ Phils home game in the near future.

BS Natasha was matched with LS Taylor when Natasha was in 10th grade. They meet once a week during the school year, as part of our school-based SMART (Students & Mentors Achieving Results Together) program. Natasha will be heading to Robert Morris University in the Fall to study pediatric nursing.
