School supplies and more

It was great to see some of our Littles and their families on Saturday (November 7th) for our second day of providing school supplies — thanks to Diamond Credit Union and The Camel Project.  Our first school-supplies giveaway was held as a drive-thru on October 28th at the Diamond Credit Union branch in Wyomissing. This time, Littles and families — observing social distancing and other proper protocol — came into our Carriage House Activities Center to pick up their supplies.  Besides school supplies, the Littles were also able to get some new school clothes. Littles receive the tools to succeed

School is particularly difficult for our kids these days.  No matter how they go to school — virtual, in-person, or a hybrid — our Littles need the tools to succeed.  Thanks to the generosity of a number of people, they will have them. LS Kaitlyn and BS Terri meet

Little Sister Kaitlyn and Big Sister Terri were actually matched back in April, but have been meeting virtually due to COVID-19 challenges. Yesterday, they met face-to-face for the first time. Keeping COVID-19 precautions in mind, some matches are meeting face-to-face now — while others remain strictly virtual, and others still are using a mix of virtual and face-to-face. The 38th Annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake – Virtual Style — is in the books!
