Community Champion of the Year 2023

Last week at our Annual Holiday Party, we honored our Matches of the Year, Corporate Partner of the Year, and more. But two of our honorees were unable to attend. We promised to update you when they received their awards and here you go. Well, at least one of them.

Karen Meck of Santander Bank is our 2023 Community Champion of the Year!

The Community Champion of the Year award is given to an individual who has taken a heart-felt interest in the success of our agency. Karen joined our Board over 10 years ago and has served on several committees — currently serving as Chair of two of them (Program Committee and Planning Committee). If you come to Bowl For Kids’ Sake, you’ll see her there at one of the tables. If you come to our Jason Claudfelter Golf Invitational, you can find her between holes #5 and #6 grilling hot dogs for our golfers. Karen has taken a particular interest in our Teen program, spearheading a number of Teen activities — including one in which she and another Board member talked to teens about buying their first cars.
